WHO TO CONTACT
Secondary students should contact their high school counselor or the MDTC Career Recruiter/Advisor about enrollment at Mid-Del Technology Center. Adult students interested in enrolling at MDTC should contact the Adult Counselor to discuss program information and to make appointments for the assessment tests.
ADULT ENROLMENT FOR FUL-TIME PROGRAMS
All adult students are required to take the compass assessment test ($25 charge) before entering any day-time program. A.M. and P.M. classes are available on a space available basis.
Financial aid is available for those who qualify. You may contact the Adult Education Office at
739-1712 for additional information.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR SECONDARY STUDENTS
Eleventh and twelfth grade high school students for Carl Albert, Del City, and Midwest City High Schools may enroll during regular high school enrollment periods and receive credit toward their high school diploma. Students may choose either the morning or afternoon session. There is no tuition charge for high school students.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR HOME SCHOOLED OR PRIVATE SCHOOL STUDENTS
Students being home-schooled or attending private school must be at least age 16 to enroll at MDTC as AM or PM and will be classified as a secondary student.
ADMISSION PROCEDURES FOR SECONDARY STUDENTS
1. Talk to counselor at high schools or MDTC Career Recruiter/Advisor
2. Complete the MDTC application form
3. (Optional) Complete an assessment prior to enrollment
ADMISSION PROCEDURES FOR SECONDARY HOMESCHOOLED STUDENTS OR PRIVATE SCHOOL STUDENTS
To apply for admission to a secondary program at Mid-Del Technology Center, the procedures listed below should be followed:
1. Submit a completed current Program Application, available in the Counseling Office at Mid-Del Technology Center.
2. Provide sufficient evidence of participation in a home school situation and meet the following:
a. Residence/Tuition Agreement - An Applicant residing in the district of Mid-Del Technology
Center will not be charged tuition for the duration of that residency. An applicant residing out of
district may be accepted pending program availability, but will be required to pay tuition.
b. Be at least sixteen years of age on or before November 1 in the year of entrance.
(1) Birth certificate or drivers license serves as proof of age.
c. Provide a current copy of immunization record prior to attendance in class.
d. Meet the prerequisites established for the program which entrance is requested. See the MDTC secondary counselor or call 739-1707.
e. Transcript of Course of Study Requirement
(1) Must present a valid transcript, or
(2) Present a written curriculum outline for the course of study provided to the individual two
years prior to application for admissions or duration of home schooled time, if less than two years.
f. Standardized Test Requirements - must have been administered within the last three years.
Assessment at MDTC may be arranged upon request for both aptitude and academic achievement.
(1) Applicant must provide results from a nationally recognized standardized assessment.
(2) Other assessments may be considered.
g. Transportation will be the responsibility of the individual and must be in compliance with
established guidelines and policies of MDTC.
h. Students attending Mid-Del Technology Center will adhere to the rules and regulations set by
the Board of Education of the Mid-Del Public School District.
i. Submit an affidavit that is included in the Home School application form. (Available in the
MDTC Secondary Counseling Office)
