Student Services

Mid-Del Technology Center offers a variety of services and resources designed to enhance the educational experience of our students.  These services include:  financial assistance, career counseling programs, assessment/testing services, and a technical resource academic center.

 

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available through the following programs:  Pell Grant, Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant (OTAG), Vocational Rehabilitation, WIA (Workforce Investment Act), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Tribal Agencies, Oklahoma G.I. Bill (Senate Bill 530), and Mid-Del Technology Center’s Next Step Scholarship.  Certain criteria for eligibility must be met in order to receive assistance from these programs.

 

Counseling

Counselors are available to assist prospective and current students with occupational choices, personal development, decision making, financial aid information, academic problems, and personal adjustment problems. 

 

Assessment

All students will participate in a testing program that measures career interests, abilities, basic skill aptitudes, and work values.  These tests will be administered at the beginning of the school year or when the student enrolls.

 

TRAC (Technical Resource Academic Center)

Proficiency in the basic skills of math and reading is essential in technical career programs.  Each student who wishes to enter studies at Mid-Del Technology Center must participate in an assessment of math and reading skills.  The Technical Resource Academic Center is designed to help students who need assistance to improve reading and math skills.

 

Secondary students from Carl Albert, Del City, and Midwest City High School may attend Mid-Del Technology Center free of charge.  Recent graduates of these schools may also have the opportunity to attend tuition free if they meet the criteria for MDTC’s Next Step scholarship.  Adult student tuition is $1.50 per hour.
